Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Kenna’s in the Kitchen (kennasinthekitchen.com) is run by me, Kenna Sanders. This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect when you visit my site, how I use it, and the choices you have.

Information I Collect

Comments and ratings. When you leave a comment or recipe rating, I collect the name, email address and website you enter, along with your IP address and browser user agent to help with spam detection. Your email address is never published. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact form. When you send me a message through my contact form, I collect the name, email address and message you provide so I can respond to you.

Email newsletter. If you subscribe to my email list, I collect your email address (and name, if provided) to send you recipes and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, my site and the services I use automatically collect certain information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. My site uses cookies to remember your comment details, understand how visitors use the site and show advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use my site, such as which recipes are most popular. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

I use Google AdSense to show ads on my site, which helps keep my recipes free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

If I work with a different ad network in the future, I’ll update this policy to reflect that.

Affiliate Links

Some posts contain affiliate links, including links to products on Amazon. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. I only recommend products I actually use and love.

Embedded Content

Recipes and posts may include embedded content (for example, videos, Instagram posts or Pinterest pins). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you visited that website, and those sites may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with the embedded content.

How I Use Your Information

  • To run and improve my website and recipes
  • To respond to your comments and messages
  • To send my email newsletter, if you subscribe
  • To show advertising that helps support the site
  • To prevent spam and keep the site secure

I do not sell your personal information.

How Long I Keep Your Data

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so I can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. Contact form messages are kept only as long as I need them to respond. Newsletter subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data I hold about you. To make a request, please contact me. This does not include data I am required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Children’s Privacy

This website is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
